Tips for Living Well

 
 

Feeling tired, stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, unmotivated, purposeless, blocked, or stuck?

Experiencing pain, discomfort in body or spirit, a running narrative of negativity in your mind, fear, doubt, or a lack of safety?

Wanting to change your physique, improve an old injury, rehab a new one, sleep better, improve recovery or maintain function as you age?

Many of these things can be helped/improved by simple lifestyle changes! Here are some tips!

Move more!

  • lift heavy things and set them down, repeat

  • get up from the floor and get down, repeat

  • work hard enough to sweat

  • challenge your walk – speed up, jog and walk, bumpy or hilly terrain

  • crank the tunes and put some energy into cleaning day

Eat well!!

  • eat a colorful rainbow of veggies and fruits!

  • focus your meals around protein and veggies

  • Eat enough

  • Eat slow and stop when satisfied, not full

  • pay attention to your food when you eat! Enjoy it!

  • skip the sugar!

Decrease stress!

  • meditate

  • practice breathwork

  • rewire your brain

  • improve your energy flow

  • trust

  • start your day without the news or social media, but in quiet and purpose so you can choose what you will focus on, don’t let the media choose for you!

  • get out in nature

Make sleep a priority

  • develop bedtime ritual

  • go to bed same time each night, wake up close to the same time each day

  • complete darkness in your bedroom or wear a mask

  • would a white-noise maker help

  • heavy blanket

  • magnesium

Protect and improve your energetic field, CNS health, and overall well-being

  • practice breathwork

  • release trapped emotions

  • let go of thoughts/agendas/narratives that don’t serve you

  • listen to your intuition

  • walk barefoot in the grass

These behaviors in themselves are quite simple, however, implementation and daily practice may be a bit challenging!
